Why Go Modular?

The technology of home building has improved tremendously through modular construction. New homes are built better than ever before!

Modular Homes are solidly constructed and well designed for today's lifestyles. They are highly energy efficient with excellent indoor air quality.

From heating systems to roofing shingles and windows, modular building products work better, last longer, and often look better than site-built homes. The result is a brand new home that is far more comfortable, healthier, easier to maintain, and more enjoyable to live in.

Modular homes being constructed in an indoor manufacturing setting allows the best performance of quality materials selected to go into every home. Imagine during the cold winter, or wet spring, your new modular home is being constructed in a dry, weather-free environment. The subfloor never gets wet and swells, and your home is never delayed due to bad weather.

The volume buying power of quality, brand name products and materials for your new modular home, along with a solid crew of craftsmen working in a factory setting, is a tremendous advantage to keeping the cost of new construction within your budget.

Common Misconceptions

Misconception: Trailers or Mobile Homes . . .

Modular Homes are NOT mobile homes, trailers, manufactured, or "double wides."

When assembled on site, there is no difference between a modular home and a conventional site-built home (other than our higher quality standards.)

In years gone by, the term "manufactured home" encompassed all types of factory-built housing. Today, "manufactured home" strictly refers to mobile homes which are built to a completely different and lesser building code enforced by the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

A manufactured home will maintain its steel undercarriage and bear the Orange HUD sticker. These innovative homes are built to the same building code as any site-built home.

The New International Residential Code (IRC) is what modular homes are built to. Modular homes are inspected and approved by the State of Illinois Dept. of Public Health and bear the Yellow State of Illinois approval seal.

Modular homes are built using the same materials and methods as a site-built home, but are built in a factory setting.
